  • Applicable to furniture orders by upgrading during your online checkout
  • Includes a third-party delivery team bringing the shipment into your room of choice, unpacking, assembling, and removing all debris
  • Additional charges may apply for rural locations, buildings, orders requiring significant assembly, or any other complex deliveries

Warehouse/Store Pickup

  • Store pickups are available for art + mirrors, decor, clothing, and small furniture to waive the shipping fee
  • Warehouse pickups are available for furniture shipments for a flat rate of $50 to waive the shipping fee

For custom, made-to-order art, you will receive your tracking information 4-6 weeks after your order is placed.

For almost all furniture, you will receive a call to schedule a delivery appointment from one of our third-party delivery companies approximately 4-6 weeks after an order is placed.

Important Information

We do ship to Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut and other remote and rural areas but additional shipping fees often apply that are not calculated during your original online purchase. If there is going to be an additional shipping charge due to your location, Modern Komfort will notify you of the cost prior to processing your payment and ensure you would like to proceed.

If your purchase is delivered either threshold or white glove via freight, you will be contacted by the freight company by phone 1-2 days prior to delivery (typically during Monday to Saturday business hours), to schedule a delivery appointment.

Appointments that are not scheduled within two weeks of the warehouse contacting you about your order, will result in additional storage fees.

You will need to be present to sign for and accept the item. If you are not present at the time agreed to, you may be subject to additional charges for a re-delivery appointment.

We will ship backordered items as soon as they are back in stock. In the event of a delay, we will notify you by mail, email or phone.

You are required to inspect the packaging and items immediately upon receipt and indicate on the packaging and/or paperwork if there is visible damage. You may choose to refuse delivery of the item(s), especially if the damage appears severe. Please note that freight carriers will deny any damage claims if it is not noted on the delivery waybill at the time of delivery, before the carrier leaves. Damages or defects must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Please note that for items that include free shipping, customers will be responsible for round-trip shipping costs on returns that are not damaged or incorrect. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs should an item be returned. Please see our Returns & Exchanges page for more information.

Once an order has shipped, any change of address will be subject to a $50 fee plus applicable taxes. This is due to a minimum change of address fee charged by nearly all courier and freight companies. Billing information will also need to be re-verified if you are changing your delivery address.
